Alan heads Spence & Partners Employer Advisory services and has particular expertise in pension scheme de-risking, accounting for company pension costs, scheme funding and discontinuance.
Having achieved a 1st class honours degree in Mathematics and Physics from Glasgow University, Alan has gained significant experience advising both trustees and corporate clients during over 10 years working for leading employee benefits consultants.
Alan has been a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries since 2006 and has held formal Scheme Actuary roles since 2008.
