Ian graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Mathematics and in the same year he was employed by a major actuarial consulting firm where he spent 12 years providing actuarial advice to trustees and sponsoring employers.

A qualified actuary, Ian’s areas of expertise include mergers and acquisition advice, asset/liability analysis.  Ian takes the lead within Spence & Partners on all advice relating to pensions and divorce.

Ian is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland.
