Scott Cameron

Scott has over 20 years experience in the pensions industry and joined Spence in 2011. He has been Head of our Actuarial and Investment Function since 2015 and has also previously held other senior positions within our business, including Head of our Risk & Audit team. In all of his roles, Scott’s key focus is on the delivery of a quality service to our clients.

Scott is the actuary for a number of our corporate clients working in relation to accounting for pension costs and the provision of de-risking solutions, and also provides lead support to our Scheme Actuaries. He has extensive experience in pension scheme valuations, ad hoc project work such as scheme buy-ins/buy-outs, asset-liability modelling and other liability management exercises.

Scott has also been heavily involved in Spence’s work as a member of the Pension Protection Fund’s Specialist Administration and Actuarial Panel, including managing valuations of schemes with liabilities ranging from £5m to £2bn and assisting on one of the largest schemes that transferred to the Financial Assistance Scheme.

Scott is an Associate of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and also holds the CFA Institute Investment Foundations Certificate.
