Scott Cameron BSc AFA
An Actuary with over 15 years experience in the pensions industry Scott joined Spence in 2011, and in 2014 assumed responsibility for the operational management of our Actuarial and Investment Function. His key focus in that role is the effective delivery of our Actuarial and Investment services to our clients.
He is an actuary for a number of our Corporate clients working in relation to accounting for pension costs and the provision of de-risking solutions, and also provides lead support to our Scheme Actuaries. He has extensive experience in pension scheme valuations, ad hoc project work such as scheme buy-ins/buy-outs, asset-liability modelling and other liability management exercises.
Scott has also been heavily involved in Spence’s work as a member of the Pension Protection Fund’s Specialist Administration and Actuarial Panel. His experience with the PPF has included managing valuations involving schemes with liabilities ranging from £5m to £2bn, as well as assisting on one of the largest schemes that has transferred to the Financial Assistance Scheme.
Scott is an Associate of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and also holds the CFA Institute Investment Foundations Certificate.
