We are looking for someone who is keen to continue to develop their marketing experience as part of our Marketing Team, which supports all areas of our business.
You are an exceptional marketing professional who will hit the ground running. Previous experience working within a busy business to business marketing team will be beneficial, as will experience of marketing a professional services business.
You will be very comfortable delivering broad marketing support for specific practice areas within and across our businesses, acting as an account manager reporting to the Marketing Function Head, responsible for delivery of marketing plans on behalf of the relevant Practice Head.
An evangelical marketing enthusiast, with a hands on understanding of how best to promote a professional services organisation, you will advise on all types of promotional activity using the full range of marketing and PR techniques, but particularly the generation of effective written content for use across new business proposals and marketing materials including brochures, online, websites etc.
On occasion, you may be required to travel to our offices across the UK in order to facilitate the role. You will be a brand advocate and be keen to help us to further develop our brands through new and existing marketplaces. With an enquiring mind, you will regularly test new methodologies in relation to developing the business through digital media and be creative in your approach to marketing.
Supporting other members of the team will be second nature, as well as inspiring others in the business to work closely with us to help achieve our goals.
Previous experience of working successfully within marketing teams to achieve clear but also challenging goals is essential. As is the ability to communicate and positively influence and negotiate at all levels, both internally and externally. You will be aware of the importance to maintain confidentiality and integrity at all times in respect of the sensitive nature of the business.

About the role
The Marketing team provides proactive support to the Business’s practices and group companies and ensures a high quality marketing service is delivered to the business to mirror the professional and excellent delivery of our technical members of staff.
Reporting to the Marketing Function Head, the role will involve working with a successful team in the continued development of the business, production of various marketing materials, ensuring any external suppliers are carefully managed and are delivering value for money.
The role will include a large element of copy writing for our marketing materials and tender production, support for the tender executive in the production of tenders / proposals for new business opportunities. Content creation is key to this role, and it will support the development of our marketing collateral on an ongoing basis, for everything from tender responses, to copy that will be used online or in brochures. As such an understanding of the pensions environment would be useful.
The role supports the Marketing Function Head in supporting and managing others within the marketing team.
In essence this is an exciting role in an organisation that embraces marketing and is keen to ensure marketing plays an active role in its development.
Essential Professional Experience & Knowledge
- Significant and relevant experience in a business to business marketing role.
- Experience in the professional services / pensions industry is desirable, though not essential.
- Evidenced success in delivery of a marketing strategy.
- Excellent knowledge of computerised systems e.g. Microsoft Office/Windows applications, online and digital marketing, web development.
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing techniques and use of the most up to date and successful methods of marketing.
- Previous experience in the production of marketing content for use across a wide spectrum of marketing channels.
- Up to date with new marketing thinking and technology.
Excellent written and communication skills which have been tested internally and externally.
- The ability to tailor written approach according to the audience and have real marketing impact.
- The ability to understand what will add value and what will not and the ability to tailor approach as and when required.
- Effective communicator able to work across all levels of the business and ensure delivery to deadlines.
Desirable Professional Experience & Knowledge
- Management of marketing budgets and invoicing.
- PR writing skills.
Essential Educational Qualifications
- Degree, 2.1 or above in a relevant discipline.
- Relevant courses related to developing and implementing marketing strategy, through traditional streams as well as online and social media OR
- Currently studying towards a relevant Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Qualification.
Desirable Educational Qualifications
Achievement of relevant professional qualification with evidence of continued CPD with CIM to maintain professional excellence.

Working hours, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
