The Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS)
The Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) launched in 2004 and has since evolved into its own unique service and process similar to, but still with distinct differences from, the Pension Protection Fund (PPF). One similarity they both share is the complex transfer process, surrounded by regulation, governance and member communication.
FAS places great emphasis on using a project management approach and encourages trustees to complete the transfer process as quickly as possible. Working closely with FAS caseworkers and the trustee we have come to understand FAS working practices and a substantial number of successful projects have now been completed.
We understand the importance of keeping up to date with the most recent FAS changes to legislation and ensuring member queries are dealt with in a prompt and sensitive manner.
